Jimmi and Charlotte // Bishop Selwyn Chapel Photographer

Jimmi and Charlotte’s wedding was chosen as the 50 Best Wedding Photos by Junebug and also featured in Together Journal magazine

Jimmi and Charlotte are two of the most fun loving and joyful people you will ever meet. They brighten up the lives of everyone they meet and their wedding day was a true celebration. J+C really thought through every aspect of the day and ditched most of the traditional wedding planning advice. They kept their planning thoughts very simple - choose things we love. From Aperols on arrival to mint Trumpets for dessert. From the architecturally amazing Bishop Selwyn Chapel, with it’s sweeping gold leaf ceiling, to orange suits and jazzy veils. Every detail was fun, personal and was designed for everyone to have an amazing time. Right down to the dress code: flamboyant shirts and fabulous shoes - so much fun.

We had planned to do the main photo session after the wedding day - so that Jimmi and Char could spend the whole day with their guests. This shoot still hasn’t happened due to Covid - but we did manage to sneak in 5 minutes to shoot some portraits around the church before the reception. We are pretty happy with what we managed to achieve in that shoot time.

Enjoy this joyful wedding story!

Kai + Lisanne // New Zealand Elopement

This wedding was featured in issue 1 of Together Journal magazine

Kai and Lisanne travelled to New Zealand from Germany to elope in our beautiful country. When they first got in contact they shared their dreams of getting married somewhere epicly beautiful and absolutely New Zealand. I pitched the idea of driving to The Central Plateau to get married in the desert and driving up Mt Ruapehu to shoot at sunset. It's moments like these which are why we love what we do so much.
